She's the type who falls in a spiral of melancholy. By nature she keeps away from surroundings, so striking and long-distance attacking are her strengths. She can cause a shower of blood, and also has the ability to remove barriers and such.

[My description and initial thoughts - May contain spoilers]

Kaede is the only female in the Smith Syndicate, and is always seen wearing a short dress with a bloodstain on her front. The bloodstain is always in the same spot, which happens to be the place where she got shot in a previous life. There's not really a lot of information revealed in the game about Kaede and her past, etc so I can't really comment a whole lot on her.

She's a somewhat strange character, and has the special ability to absorb blood as well as to cut her wrist, causing a blood shower. This ability is used to break special barriers which require Kaede specifically to do so. She uses a powerful pistol that has a scope attached which works pretty much like a rifle for sniping. At level 0, Kaede's reload speed is really slow, though her gun's zoom-in capabilities are required to beat a few of the bosses. because of this I leveled her up quite a lot. Her weapon is powerful, though, which makes up for the slow reload speed... When she's leveled up more, her reload speed increases, so it no longer becomes a problem. Kaede's gun has 10 rounds, which is useful for dealing with groups of enemies, although, if her speed is still low, her reload speed could screw things up for the player. She has a counter-attack though, that comes in handy when you're in a pinch. In the Smile scenario, you'll encounter the Timer Smile, so Kaede would be the best to use against this enemy as she can snipe all the red spots on its body from afar.
