» Blood

Thick blood: Thick blood is gained whenever a Heaven Smile is defeated by shooting its weak spot, or shooting either its head or any of its limbs off. Camellia, Micro and Flower Smiles will give you a fair amount of thick blood once defeated. The maximum amount of blood you can hold is 1000kj. Thick blood is used to create serum via the blood machine (which is accessible at the TV on channel B), to level up the Smith personalities.

Thin blood: When you kill enemies, you also collect thin blood, which is used to either heal your character, or to use for their special abilities and/or special attacks. In normal mode, you can collect up to 20 vials of thin blood and in Killer 8 (the hardest mode), the max is 5. I've not played Deadly (hard) yet, so I'm not sure what the max is for that mode.




» Items

Soul Bullet/Shell: These soul bullets are crucial if you are to get past the gatekeeper to enter the Coliseum. Each stage has a certain number of bullets you must collect before giving them to the gatekeeper. Usually puzzles need to be solved or certain rings need to be used in order to obtain them.


Rings: These are rings that have different magical properties and are used to complete specific tasks and puzzles. These rings are important in order to progress through the game. Suzie hands a ring over whenever you talk to her for the first time in each scenario. There are 6 rings in total: Fire, Water, Wind, Stamina, Time and Power. There is also the Vision Ring, but only Garcian has this and already possesses it at the start of the game.

Odd Items: Various items found throughout the game that are used to solve puzzles and/or activate devices, in order to progress further.
